Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the Brecon Beacons

An ideal location for those looking for a quiet and secluded setting in which to explore the surrounding countryside, Cyfronnydd is the family home in its own grounds of Jean and Michael Legg. Nestling in the peaceful Tarrell valley and situated on the old drovers’ road which leads to the most popular starting points for walkers to reach Pen-y-Fan (886 metres).

A leisurely circular walk along the Tarrell river from the gates of Cyfronnydd is just one option for guests or a challenging cycle ride may be your preference. The Taff Trail passes just by our gate.

Routes and maps are available for walking and nature trails.

Extending a warm welcome to guests all year round rooms are furnished to a high standard and have thoughtful extras added to ensure a comfortable stay.

We are also a convenient halfway stopover for travellers to North or West Wales.

All bedrooms have colour TV/DVD, shower robes, tea and coffee making facilities.

Guests can regulate the central heating in their room.

Breakfasts are served using all fresh, local produce and special dietary requests catered for.

There is a drying room available for walkers who get caught in the odd Welsh shower!

There is a large private parking area and a lock-up for bicycles.

Guests are invited to relax in the gardens whilst enjoying the magnificent views and spot the red kites or buzzards that regularly hover overhead, or tuck into a barbeque on the patio (by arrangement).
