Cyfronnydd is the family home of Jean and Michael Legg who offer comfortable accomodation and a warm welcome to B&B guests all year round. In its own grounds and nestling in the peaceful Tarrell Valley, Cyfronnydd is situated on the old drovers' road leading to the most popular starting point for walkers to reach the peak of Pen-y-fan (886 metres).
An ideal location for those looking for a quiet and secluded setting in which to explore the surrounding countryside for a few days, it is also a convenient halfway stop-over for travellers to North or West Wales.All bedrooms have colour TV/video and tea/coffee making facilities and many thoughtful extras to ensure a comfortable stay. Breakfasts are served using all local fresh produce.
Guests are invited to sit and relax in the gardens whilst enjoying the magnificent views or tuck into a barbeque (by arrangement). There is a large private parking area and a lock-up for bicycles.
The Brecon Beacons National Park Mountain Centre is nearby and a great choice of outdoor activities for the energetic. (See local attractions.)
Just a few minutes away, host to the Annual Jazz Festival, is the historic Georgian town of Brecon. It boasts two museums, a beautiful cathedral, cinema, leisure centre and a theatre overlooking the canal basin. The town has several antique shops, art galleries, and a diverse selection of pubs and restaurants. The Market Hall regularly hosts craft and antique fairs along with the popular farmers' market selling local produce
The famous National Showcaves of Dan-yr-Ogof and the Activity centre and boating at Llangorse Lake are all within easy reach. One of the most popular outings for youngsters is an activity farm at nearby Cantref where, among other delights, children can handle and feed the animals.
